MGMA organized AFTEX 50th Council Meeting and 48th Plenary Session

Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Associations (MGMA) organized AFTEX 50th Council Meeting and 48th Plenary Session was held on 2023, December 7,8,9 at Lotte Hotel, Yangon.

Chief delegates meeting and chief delegates dinner with China delegates was held on December 7 at Emerald Room and Pearl Room.

In the meeting, Mr.Phongsak Assakul , AFTEX Emeritus Chairman gave opening remarks and then Vice-chairman of MGMA (AFTEX Myanmar) Dr.Aung Win gave welcoming remarks. After that, officiation remarks by Mr.Tan Kim Teck Albert, AFTEX Chairman and take comfirmation of past minute of meeting from delegation.

Also, AFTEX members representing Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar presented country report respectively and group photo joined by all AFTEX delegates.

On December 9, AFTEX delegation visited Myanmar International Textile and Machinery Fair 2023and joined panel discussions about The future of the textile and apparel industry in ASEAN. In the panel discussion, Mr.Zhang Tao (Deputy General of CNTAC) gave opening remarks and panelists by MGMA, JGMA and AFTEX delegates from Malaysia, Cambodia and Thai,​ moderated by Ms.Regina Leong from PSG AFTEX.
