Labour Law Awareness and WCC Training

Myanmar Garment Manufacturers Association (MGMA) organized Labour Law Awareness and WCC Training on
May, 2022 at three garments factories in Pathein Industrial Park, supported by LIFT Donors. The purpose of this training is to provide the soft skills needed industrial development and creating better workplace for garments workers. The training was held on May 24 at He Shan Myanmar Garments Co.,Ltd, May 25 at Huabo Time Textiles & Clothing Co.,Ltd and May 26 at Amava Apparel Ltd. In the training, Labour Officer of MGMA U Min Soe Han explained the project’s objectives and then presented Employment, Work Hours, Payment of Wages, Employment Termination, Leave Holiday, Workplace Coordination Committee (WCC), and Settlement of Labour Dispute with group work and Q & A session. Labour Law Awareness is one of the soft skills required by garment workers and the training attended by (24) participants from He Shan Myanmar Garments Co.,Ltd, (24) participants from Huabo Time Textiles & Clothing Co.,Ltd and (27) participants from Amava Apparel Ltd.
